SALES SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Sales Support Manager, this position will provide general business development support to the Sales Director of specific customers including leading .com, mid-tier, distributor, and specialty retail channels.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate with multiple internal departments (Operations, Marketing, and Accounting) and external representatives and distribution partners to ensure account expectations are met or exceeded.

o Tasks include: quotes, item maintenance, sample/mock up requests, gathering images/gathering web-copy requests, assist with forecasting within the Basic Fun! Intranet, and presentation development.

  • Coordinate with domestic and import operations teams to communicate changes/cancellations and tracking of open orders.
  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate forecasting and reporting. Add new items to forecast & assist in forecast clean up as needed.
  • Participate in the monitoring of sales and inventory activity versus forecast for assigned sales channel.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Create sales & inventory reports at the direction of the Sales management team.
  • Request assets needed for catalogs or promotion.
  • Complete, submit, and follow up on all Channel Management forms needed for exclusive items.
  • Create Deal Sheets for markdowns, chargebacks & promos and submit for internal review and approval.
  • Assist the Marketing & Finance teams with co-op classicalness or payment discounts as needed.
  • Set up Basic Fun as a vendor in NEW customer portals, obtain and complete documents & forms needed for initial set up.
  • Complete internal Customer Set Up Forms for any new customers being brought on under the designated Sales Lead.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure they are up to date on PO status’ & any new available items/ opportunities.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • 3 – 5 years Consumer Product Experience.
  • Proven experience in working in cross functional teams (Sales/Operations/Marketing/Accounting).
  • Highly motivated, driven, detail-focused, resourceful, self-starter.
  • Experienced in effectively coordinating and executing multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently while working with conflicting priories in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven excellent Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, V-Lookup) and Power Point skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Overview:

In collaboration with the VP Global Brand Marketing, this position is expected to be a key business contributor for the company by taking ownership of the executional day-to-day product marketing needs for select brand(s) and work with sales, product management, creative services and other teams to achieve successful results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Core Role
    • Manage executional, day-to-day product, marketing and business functions for team’s assigned product lines.
  • Product Management
    • With direction from Manager, manage Line Plans and execute elements of the product commercialization process for assigned brands / product lines, including collaboration with PD team; creating/ managing Product Start Forms, assisting in driving development to the product launch milestones; costing targets, margin requirements while delivering market-relevant product solutions with a strong price/value proposition.
    • Manage the flow of information and communications with PD team and HKG office for assigned brands / product lines.
    • Research market and industry trends, compile and provide updated trend and competitive information to aid product line and brand strategy.
  • Brand & Sales Management
    • Assist with maintaining the established visual personality and brand identity for all assigned brands/product lines.
    • In collaboration with the Manager, assist in driving packaging and graphic design direction with the Creative Services team.
    • Manage submission process for product approvals with licensors in a timely and precise manner for assigned brands / product lines. Proactively follow-up and communicate updates.
    • Play a key role in managing brand information to Sales team including presentation materials, Brand Decks, etc.
    • Oversee the flow of Product samples required for sales presentations, trade shows, commercial shoots and PR activities for assigned Product Lines. Monitor, track and communicate status.
    • Track category trends and retail environments; use intel to help direct priorities and advise Manager or Team accordingly.
    • Within the first 90 days, learn the fundamentals of tracking and analyzing wholesale forecasts and retail POS with a keen eye on patterns, shifts and the so-what to help advise actionable plans for the business.
  • Marketing Communication
    • Play a key role in executing each brand’s go-to-market strategy with the opportunity to lead various tactics (select PR, social media, promotions, events, digital projects, etc.).
    • Assist in the development of outbound communications, including Web copy and layout execution, trade show messaging, online advertising, print advertising, social media and sales collateral materials for assigned brands / product lines.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing
  • Must have 1-2 years of relevant marketing, brand or product management experience.
  • Passionate individual who is a self-starter and can promote best practices for brand planning and management.
  • Experience in leading multiple strategic projects involving internal and external resources/partners.
  • Knowledge of the product development and manufacturing functions as it relates to the product commercialization process.
  • Must be able to demonstrate interest in toys and/or children’s entertainment products through professional or personal means.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills; experience with Microsoft suite is required.
  • Highly organized and efficient. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment. Easily adapt to shifts in priorities; ability to manage several projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work effectively across different teams, departments, and third parties.
  • Experience selling /presenting to retail buyers, Toy category experience preferred.
  • Experience in trade shows, product & lifestyle photography shoots, consumer insights
  • Ability to travel, as needed.

Position Overview:

In collaboration with the Vice President Global Brand Marketing, this position is responsible for the development and successful execution of the Brand strategy for assigned product lines. This role is expected to be a business driver for the company. Having accountability for assigned Product Lines and brands, this individual will act as the hub for their select Product Lines / Brand(s) and collaborate with sales, product development, operations, digital marketing & marketing services, creative services and other cross-functional teams to achieve successful results.

Strong leadership and relationship management skills are essential along with storytelling, strategic thinking and project management abilities.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage all functions of the brand management discipline across cross-functional teams for assigned product line(s).
  • With direction from Management, create Line Plans / Line Extension strategies and execute elements of the product commercialization process, including close collaboration with the product development team; assisting in driving the development cycles against the product launch milestones; managing Product Specs, costing targets, margin requirements while delivering market-relevant product solutions that possess a strong price/value proposition.
  • Identify and recommend consumer-focused product marketing trends, competitive threats and new product and packaging opportunities and strategies to drive growth of new and existing product categories.
  • Act as the Brand/Product ambassador to both internal and external constituencies for assigned product lines.
  • Create reports and other materials to communicate updates and changes to product lines and Brand Decks throughout the product commercialization process.
  • Collaborate with the creative services team to drive packaging and graphic design direction.
  • Provide leadership to maintain the established visual personality and brandprint for all assigned Brands.
  • Manage the flow of information and communications with product development and creative services teams and the Hong Kong office.
  • Review and approve all product concepts and design samples.
  • Manage Product Line information flow to sales team, including sales collateral materials, presentations, competitive set data, marketing plans, and brand decks.
  • Work with global sales team to support distribution channels, including channel management initiatives inclusive of products and promotions, in-store support, and key account sales presentations. Participate in developing account-specific sales plans for assigned Product Lines. Attend retailer business review meetings for key accounts, when necessary.
  • Manage all promotional and merchandising planning, collaborate with marketing services team to execute all promotional activities/activations, including PR, traditional media and all social media platforms and amplifications.
  • Track category trends and retail environments/channels; use intel to illuminate priorities and Product Line planning.
  • Direct the development and management of outbound communications materials, including, creative briefs, Web copy, e-commerce assets, trade show presentation and messaging, sales collateral materials, print and digital media platforms.
  • Monitor product activity at national accounts. Maintain an understanding of online e-commerce activity. Ability to analyze activity and provide product insights/ recommendations.
  • Create and manage marketing plans, budgets and analysis for assigned product lines.
  • Collaborate with digital and social media marketing and sales teams to ensure assigns product lines are properly represented on e-commerce sites/accounts.
  • Prepare product concept Decks for presentation to Licensors for assigned Product Lines/Brands.
  • Collaborate with licensing team to maintain communication with licensors. Work with licensors during brand planning and product development process.
  • Full-time on-site position located at our company’s headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida.
    Our office is in-person Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Development, the ideal candidate will have a successful track record managing design projects from concept to completion, outlining timelines, hitting key milestones, analyzing cost sheets, and coming up with recommendations to make sure target costs are met. The candidate must have great communication skills, capable of articulating and coordinating critical project details to a wide range of recipients. High functioning with minimal direction while enjoying the ability to manage aspects of the business. The candidate must also be well organized, energetic and possess a positive, professional solution finding attitude.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Someone who’s willing to do all parts of the product development process as well as manage the daily communications with Asia.
  • Ability to take a project from initial designs through to production.
  • Create drawings, sketches, and renderings to convey new concepts and ideas to engineering, marketing, packaging, and management, making sure the cost meets the criteria.
  • Create 3D mock-ups and kit-bashed models to communicate scale and function if necessary.
  • Prepare control drawings, parts lists, and descriptions for the construction of prototypes and tooling models.
  • Work on concept development with an understanding of cost and the mechanical engineering aspects of product development.
  • Apply industrial design excellence in the application of color and creation of form and surface.
  • Participate in formal and informal reviews and brainstorming sessions to generate new product ideas.
  • Work as a team player.
  • Work with outside vendors to supplement internal development resources.
  • Frequently visiting toy stores to review the competition and comment on any new opportunities.
  • Great sense of aesthetics: Ability to identify the essence of a style and apply it to form across a variety of different brand styles.

Qualifications

Skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited industrial design, toy design or related degree
  • 8+ years’ experience in professional industrial design in the toy industry.
  • Sketching skills: High ability to conceive and clearly communicate 3D objects in 2D space.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop programs.
  • Knowledge on Word, excel and Power Point.
  • Solidworks, Keyshot are a plus.

Position Overview:

This customer service focused position will be responsible being the integral connection between clients, distributors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and efficient coordination. This position will also be responsible coordinating the Sales Sample process.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Customer Communication and Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Be the primary contact for clients, distributors, and internal teams, addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring a positive client experience.
    • Work closely with the sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
    • Provide accurate and detailed information about products, services, and order status.
  • Order Processing
    • Receive and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Utilize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems for efficient order processing.
    • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to track and update order status.
    • Communicate any delays or issues to customers and propose suitable solutions.
  • Inventory Allocation and Verification
    • Manage inventory allocation and customer forecasts to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
    • Verify inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory control manager to ensure accurate stock information.
  • Issue Resolution
    • Address and resolve customer concerns, including product defects, shipping issues, and quality complaints.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate and organized customer records, order histories, and communication logs.
    • Utilize EDI systems for efficient documentation and data exchange.
    • Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Communication with 3PL
    • Collaborate with various Third-Party Logistics providers globally to coordinate shipping and distribution.
    • Ensure seamless communication and alignment with 3PLs on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exemplary execution of tasks.
  • Sales Sample Process
    • Responsible for processing (opening, unboxing, unpacking) organizing, and tracking samples.
    • Conduct Quality Assurance of all incoming samples with product data against merchandise.
    • Partner with operations team to obtain ETA’s (Estimated Time of Arrivals) and report data to requesting teams.
    • Manage sample logistics and work with partners to effectively communicate product prioritization.
    • Reviews the TBD Container Report daily to keep track of estimated sample arrival dates.
    • Utilizes the Sales Sample Tracker Form to keep an active log of any incoming Sample Requests.
    • Participates in Weekly Meetings discussing product development timelines to ensure adequate product knowledge and estimated on shelf dates.
    • Communicates cross-functionally between Sales, Operations, and Creative teams to meet request deadlines and maintain sample order accuracy.
    • Utilizes the Sample Master Form to gain knowledge of production start dates and estimated sample availability dates.
    • Route and track samples according to order requirements and desired destinations.
    • Collaborates and works diligently to find solutions to sample challenges.
    • Adheres to schedule requirements and reports issues as needed to manage partner expectations.
    • Takes a keen approach to learning and researching products in order to enhance their ability to identify issues and inconsistencies in the merchandise.
    • Always mindful of the sample process and adds value by continuing to improve efficiency, streamlined procedures and proactive communication.

Qualifications

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrated experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.
    • Experience in inventory management and coordination with 3PLs a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Organizational Skills: Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.

Position Overview:

This position is a key growth driver for the company and is responsible for cultivating and growing key brands. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the Brand’s global product and marketing strategy (across both Product Development and Marketing), acting as the global ambassador for the brands, go-to-market strategies and tool kits, and being the central point of all communication across multiple departments throughout the organization (inclusive of Sales, Product Development, Operations, Digital & Social Marketing, Creative Services/Packaging, and Finance). The expectation is that this role achieves the necessary results/metrics established to drive the expected revenue and P&L volume annually.

This sought-after position requires a true self-starter with a keen pulse on today’s consumer across the globe, and a right/left brain mindset that can disrupt beyond the status quo. Having a passion for the consumer, strong leadership and relationship management skills are essential along with storytelling, strategic thinking and project management abilities.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage all functions of the global brand management discipline across cross-functional teams
  • Create Line Plans and execute elements of the product commercialization process, including close collaboration with the product development team; assisting in driving the development cycles against the product launch milestones; managing product specs, costing targets, margin requirements while delivering market-relevant product solutions
  • Identify consumer-focused product marketing trends, competitive threats and new product and packaging opportunities and strategies to drive growth of new and existing product categories
  • Develop and lead global go-to-market strategies with turn-key solutions and toolkits; collaborate with key global market leads and distribution partners on effective localization of marketing plans
  • Work with Digital Marketing team to develop and deliver paid content as well as collaborate on Social Media and PR plans driving awareness and on-going engagement with kids and kidult collectors
  • Work closely with Digital Gaming/Experience partner ensuring physical and digital synergies throughout the development, pre-launch, launch and post-launch efforts
  • Prepare product concept decks for presentation to Licensor while collaborating with Licensing Team on forecasts and potential new opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Creative Services team to drive packaging, point-of-sale/merchandising materials and graphic design direction
  • Manage Product Line information flow to sales team and key distribution partners, including sales collateral materials, presentations, competitive set data, marketing plans, and brand decks
  • Work with global sales team and key distribution partners to support distribution channels, including channel management initiatives inclusive of products and promotions, in-store support, and key account sales presentations. Participate in developing account-specific sales plans for assigned Product Lines. Attend retailer business review meetings for key accounts, when necessary
  • Monitor product activity at national accounts. Maintain an understanding of online e-commerce activity. Ability to analyze activity and provide product insights/ recommendations
  • Manage all promotional and merchandising planning, collaborate with the Digital and Social Media marketing team to execute all promotional activities/activations, including PR, traditional media and all social media platforms and amplifications
  • Track category trends and retail environments/channels; use intel to illuminate priorities and Product Line planning
  • Direct the development and management of outbound communications materials, including, creative briefs, Web copy, e-commerce assets, trade show presentation and messaging, sales collateral materials, print and digital media platforms
  • Collaborate with digital and social media marketing and sales teams to ensure Brand is properly represented on e-commerce sites/accounts

Qualifications

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing
  • Must have 8-10 years of relevant marketing/product management experience; 2-3 years in toys
  • Experience and passion for social media communication and global go-to-market management
  • Passionate individual who is a self-starter and can promote best practices for brand planning and management
  • Proficient in forecasting, POS sales, analyzing large amounts of data and providing the so what behind the numbers to drive growth, innovation/use for business cases
  • Proven experience in leading multiple strategic projects involving internal and external resources/partners
  • Practical knowledge of the product development and manufacturing functions as it relates to the product commercialization process
  • Must be able to demonstrate interest in toys and/or children’s entertainment products through professional or personal means
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills; experience with Microsoft suite is required
  • Highly organized and efficient. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
  • Easily adapt to shifts in priorities; ability to manage several projects concurrently
  • Ability to work effectively across different teams, departments, and third parties
  • Experience selling /presenting to retail buyers, Toy category experience preferred
  • Experience in trade shows, product & lifestyle photography shoots, consumer insights
  • Ability to travel, as needed
  • Full-time on-site position located at our company’s headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida.

Our office is in-person Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.
